Tapasee....

Tapasee, the new girl of Tollywood can be seen anywhere and everywhere in Hyderabad - either endorsing some cell phones or opening shops. I am sure its good to be in the public eye.

I do like her fashion sense to certain extent and I think it is way better compared to most other tollywood heroines.

Ram and Samantha at filmfare award announcement

Ram totally rocked the look with a well fitting dress. I like that he paired it with brown shoes. Glad to see a well-dressed tollywood hero after a long time. As for Samantha, the one shoulder dress did suit her pretty good. They both make good pair.

Lakshmi Manchu at music world

Lakshmi Manchu has a great great attitude, awesome figure and can carry off better outfits.
I dont understand the orange outfit - it looks like someone started out with a one shoulder dress but messed it up and tried to patch it up ..
Love the jhumkas, though!

Fashion at Radio mirchi awards

I don't know these girls but certainly like their guts to display some colorful fashion. The girl with the green blouse could carry off the dress because of her figure but a thin sheer around the neck would have added some sense to it.

Anushka at an audio function

Anushka wore a dress with the current style, the see through sleeves. It is not new but is getting more and more popular now. The dress itself is strictly OK but I don't like the color on her.

Tollywood Fashion

Unlike the bollywood stars, tollywood stars dont really follow a fashion pattern. Given the type of crowd, the events being held in big public places, the heat ( and the sweat) it is understandable that they prefer comfort over style most of the time ( smart thinking ) . Lets start looking into the fashion in hyderabad mostly in the entertainment industry.

Wedding style - Doli sajake rehna...

The latest and greatest hyderabadi style weddings include a doli for the bride's arrival. It was a part of some big family weddings in the past and was not part of hindu hyderabadi culture. Now a days you can find so many varities of doli's that you can choose from and some you can even rent for the event itself. As for me, if you can spend a little more and add some style to your wedding then why not.

Paithani Sarees

Originating from Maharastra, these are one of the unique sarees that you should have in your wardrobe. The colors and the design are very unique and make a great outfit to wear for weddings, receptions or anyother big events. They come under expensive category but it is well worth the money given the beauty it adds to you. Only a few saree shops carry these sarees in Hyderabad.

The green one in the picture is mine and I love it.

Pochampalli sarees

I like the design of these sarees. They come in so many varities, they look rich but are very affordable and will be a very good choice to wear them to pooja's and other small functions. You can find them in most of the saree stores in Hyderabad and elsewhere in Andhra pradesh. These sarees also come with zari border but the zari is not of great quality.

Saree style

A Saree is the main element of fashion in Hyderabad or anywhere else in India. In addition to this dress form remaining a classic from ages bygone, in recent times, Bollywood has made it as sexy as it can ever be and the colors and the patterns amaze me everytime ...from the subtle to the sexy, from the brights to the beiges..... There are many many different types of sarees and styles and  I would like to share some of the beautiful patterns and ageless designs that never go out of fashion.

New types of saree designs keep coming to the market everyday, but to me "COTTONS" remain my favorite of all, mainly due to the comfort (to survive the hot hyderabad summers !) and from the simple elegance that they offer . Some of the cottons from Gadwal, Kolkatta, Kothakota etc., with their classic designs ( that are being slightly modified to adapt/appeal to the "new generation")  bring a lot of grace and dignity to the female form.

I love this saree on Manisha. Its a simple cotton yet so gorgeous.
